Abstract: The summary is dedicated to the 25th International Readings “Dostoevsky’s Works in the Perception of 21st-Century Readers,” which took place on April 19–21, 2023, in Staraya Russa, Novgorod region. The conference was organized by the Novgorod Museum-Reserve, the Institute of World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Commission for the Study of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s Artistic Heritage at the Academic Council “History of World Culture” of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It was attended by more than 40 researchers from four countries: Russia, Italy, Kazakhstan, and Japan. The novel Crime and Punishment was the main text that formed the basis of most of the reports, roundtable discussion, and seminar.
